A buyer wins a Black Crystal Booster Box giveaway on a vortexbreaks Whatnot stream. They're so pumped that they turn around and buy a second booster box just to support the seller. Package shows up. They tear it open.
The booster box they paid for? Crushed. Seals broken.
The booster box they won? One single pack.
Oh, and the packing slip sitting right there in the bubble mailer? It says "Booster Box Giveaway." So someone definitely knew what was supposed to be in that package.

What the Community Is Reporting
According to the original Reddit post, titled "With proof this time. Vortexbreaks sent me a pack when I won a booster box givvy," the buyer shared the following account:
- They were a first-time buyer with vortexbreaks
- They won a Black Crystal Booster Box in Giveaway #8 during a live Whatnot stream
- They also purchased a second booster box (Event #232) for $34 as a show of support for the seller
- The package arrived via bubble mailer
- The booster box they paid for arrived completely crushed with all seals broken
- In place of the booster box giveaway, they received one single pack
- The packing slip inside explicitly listed "Booster Box Giveaway" — confirming the seller was aware of what should have been included
- The buyer attempted to report the issue to Whatnot, who issued a $10 credit and would not allow further dispute requests on the item
- The seller has messages turned off on their Whatnot profile, making direct contact impossible
The Whatnot packing slip shows Order #1045514304, dated May 17, 2026, addressed to buyer "bugglesworth" from vortexbreaks.
The Damaged Box They Paid For
This is the booster box the buyer paid $34 for. The corner is crushed and the seals are visibly broken — meaning the product integrity is completely compromised before it was ever opened by the buyer.
The Giveaway That Started It All
This is the live stream where the giveaway took place. Booster Box Giv #8 is clearly labeled and on display. The buyer won this. What they received was a single pack.
Whatnot's Response
Whatnot issued the buyer a $10 credit and closed the case, preventing any further dispute requests on the item. Given that a booster box giveaway carries significantly more value than $10, the community is questioning whether the platform's buyer protection actually protected anyone here.
The Whatnot Buyer Guarantee states:
"Receive your purchase on time and as described or we'll make it right."
A $10 credit for a booster box giveaway that never arrived is something collectors will have to judge for themselves.
